Harrison’s Christening.Affection,Joy and Care. A Genuine Family.
It’s been about 3 weeks since Harrison had his special Christening day. Looking back at the photos I am really surprised at how emotional and heartwarming the day was. Now, I’d like to take credit for that, and say that I’m such a great photographer, but truth be told they were moments waiting to be captured.
It’s funny, and I shouldn’t probably mention it, but there’s some events that I’m just connected to on a different level. THIS WAS ONE OF THEM. Jen, the mom was great to talk to, even though we were chasing each other on the phone several times. When we finally spoke, her calm voice made my day better and put me at ease about how all the details would pan out. She put her trust in me and let me be with all the rest. I don’t know if it was because she was just too busy to keep things in check , or because of her way of entrusting that people do better without micromanagement. Being that the reception place at the Seasons was perfect in every way, I strongly believe that it comes from her shaping people through the kind of work she does.
Getting to the church at Saint John the Theologian, in Tenafly, NJ, was an adventure that Sunday for some reason. I guess end of the long Thanksgiving weekend made the commute as such. The Cathedral was as beautiful as ever in the late fall sun setting that afternoon. Baby Harrison,.. I’ll let you see on your own how great he was.
The reception at The Seasons was exquisite and nothing short of breathtaking, photos prove that. Seeing the ballroom (while cocktail hour was next door), I just couldn’t stop taking pictures. I forgot to even grab a bite to eat the entire time. Thank God mom and dad thought of us.We got fed at the end of the night together with the Dj team. That was a nice gesture from the parents and made us feel as being part of their great day.
The rest of the evening winded down with touching speeches, dancing and an overall great vibe just as families like this would reflect. I want to thank the parents Jen and Angelo again and the godparents Margarita and George, for having us. It was a great joy to document baby Harrison’s epic christening day. I loved every moment being around such a great guy. I even got a few minutes to play with him.
I’m hoping to see every one at other joyous life event occasions, but for now good bye and enjoy the photos:
