One of the reasons I enjoy when covering baptisms, is the unlimited ways for children to express themselves. It’s never the same and I’m playing a mind game to foresee how they will grow to be and what traits of character I can see in them form the beginning. I always go back to see photos and videos of my son while he was little and constantly find his character in any little thing he did and still does.
Now, going back to Katerini’s christening, I was very familiar with the church and Fr Anargyros. Don’t cross the line!! with him. I am joking of course, he’s seen me too often to know what to expect from one another and have mutual respect, me more being in their house of worship. Katerini- Sofia as any other kid, minded her own business, trying to demistify why we were all there and looking for fun things to do. Both grandmothers were keenly overlooking the custom process of the ceremony and made sure all is as it should happen. Grandpas? I didn’t notice them much 🙂 . In any way Katerini’s mom Renique, made sure that the entire day was tied together in the most perfect way, from church to reception at The Seasons, all the details of how the balroom looked like , down to favors brought from Greece, the most tasty honey I’ve got the chance to have. It was a great day to be around the entire family and I thank them for having me and Johnny (video).
